New Mexico Cup Low O2 Challenge

Location: Enchanted Forest Cross Country Ski Area

The “Annual New Mexico Cup” Citizens’ Fun Race
Brought to you by the Enchanted Forest XC Ski Area

WHO: Everyone is welcome to participate. We encourage everyone, especially all of you who think you’re not fast or good enough to race. It’s for fun and laughs and you just might enjoy it!!!

WHAT: An awesome course at New Mexico’s premier XC Ski Area. Participants can choose the one-lap version (10km) or the two-lap version (20km). Bring an extra lung for the Low 02 Challenge! Enchanted Forest’s trails are reminiscent of the old-style of xc ski trails in New England: lots of ups and downs, turns, rhythm changes, and of course the wild & beautiful nature for which Enchanted Forest is most famous.

We’ll plan on starting a little early: 9:00 AM. Registration will start at 7:30 AM in the lodge.

WHY: Because xc skiing in New Mexico is awesome and we need our own race!

Registration Details:
This is a low-key event. There is no fancy registration procedure, other than to get a registration blank off of either of these websites: www.swnordicski.org (see NM Cup registration) or the Enchanted Forest XC website www.enchantedforestxc.com and mail to Enchanted Forest XC, PO Box 219, Red River, NM 87558 (attn: NM Cup Ski Race). Or, register in person at Enchanted Forest any time before the race. There will be race-day registration, so please be punctual so that we can get the races started on time. Races are $25 for adults each (includes daily trail pass), and $10 for juniors 17 and under. Awards will be given out, but as of print date, they have not been finalized. Fun will most certainly be had by all. Hope to see you there!!!
